And now a bit about my card. Then I saw the Basket of Hope Stamp Set, I knew I have to have this. I love realistic looking stamps and I have waited a long time to make an Autumn card with inlay die cut leaf background. Basket of Hope was perfect for this.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Promarkers. It's cut out with craft knife and scissors. I covered berries and jar with Nuvo Jewel Drops (Orange Marmalade for jar and Strawberry Coulis on berries). For the matting layer I adhered 2 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape to piece of cardstock and used die from Nellie Snellen Photo Frames set to cut it out. After adhering image layer to center I covered rest of the tape with Bronze Splendor Glitter.

For the background I took a piece of White cardstock and inked it with Distress Inks (Old Paper, Fossilized Amber and Tea Dye). Some droplets of water was also sprinkled on top of the inking.
I used Creative Expressions Autumn Leaf Trio die set to cut six shaped windows to it. In this set has three detailed and three matching silhouette dies, so I used them all to cut all the windows in one pass.

I inked the edges of one of previously cut silhouette leaf with Tea Dye ink and used Versamark ink to stamp the sentiment to the center. It's heat embossed with White Detail Embossing Powder.

Piece of Acetate was adhered underneath the inked layer. On top of the windows I die cutted two sets of detailed leaves and adhered them to the Acetate. Some veins was drawn with yellow marker to the back side of the Acetate. You can barely see the color but it gives nice effect.
Most bottom layer is covered with 2 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape. To the edges I applied  Bronze Splendor Glitter and rest of the tape was covered with Microfine Glitter. Inked panel is adhered on top of it with Foam Tape.

Frame is cut with paper trimmer. Some Orange Marmalade Nuvo Jewel Drops was added to finish off my card.

My blog was last stop on the SNS Blog Hop. But if started from the middle You should go to Shona's blog to follow the full Hop :) I hope you enjoy(ed) it!

Nice Normal Family

Hi! Today I want to share a simple and fun card made with Sparkle N Sprinkle Chicken Run Stamp Set #761 and Stampendous stamp named Whiskers

For a start I smudged some Distress Inks (Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, Hickory Smoke) to the craft mat, spritzed them with water and placed piece of watercolor cardstock in to it. I dried the CS and placed back to the ink. After I was happy with the background and it was totally dry, I took the Whiskers  stamp, inked it with Versamark ink and stamped the image on top of the background. Image was heat embossed with Coffee Embossing Powder. I added some shading to the cats with same Distress inks and watercolor brush. Darker shadows was colored with Gray marker. Background of the cats is colored with Mother of Pearl Nuvo Embellishment Mousse and waterbrush.
Cats eyes are colored with White Gel Pen and Citrus Green Embellishment Mousse

Cats eyeballs needed a bit more so I covered them with Apple Sour Nuvo Glow Drops. Because I didn't want their eyes to be dimensional, I added Glow Drops with small paintbrush. Nuvo Glow Drops makes their eyes to glow in the dark. Of course the glow would had been more intense If I had added bigger drops, but it is cool like this too. After Glow Drops was dried, I draw a little dot back in center of their eyeballs with Black marker.

Sentiment is from Chicken Run stamp set. Love how well it goes together with Whiskers stamp. Sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink to the Black Cardstock and it's heat embossed with White Detail Embossing Powder. Pattern on some of the cats was covered with Dimensional Glue and Elephant Flocking.

Edges of the matting layer behind the cats are covered with 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Black Ice Glitter. Edges of the card base are covered with 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape. Half of the tape is covered with Sterling Microfine Glitter and rest is covered with Elephant Flocking.

Elf Peeker

Hi! Today I have a fun little interactive card to share made with Sparkle N Sprinkle stamps and glitters. I used two new digi sets and one older rubber stamp on it: Elf Peeker DIGI858, Winter Greetings Bird and Wreath DIGI855 and Tree Scene 723.
The card looks a bit boring at first - a nice winter scene and silent "psst.." echoing behind the wall...

But if you pull the tag on the side, things will start to happen...

Hehee... I love this adorable peeking elf. As said before, he is from Elf Peeker Digital stamp set. He comes as a rubber version as well. But for this card I preferred digi set. That allowed me to make the Elf and sentiments as large as I needed and because Sparkle N Sprinkle digi sets comes with pre-colored images, I didn't had to spend time for coloring. I just added covered the bells on his hat with Limoncello Nuvo Jewel Drops.
Background is made with Tree Scene stamp. I stamped the scene with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I masked both trees and stamped third one in the middle. Coloring is done with Promarkers. To make the snow sparkle I adhered Cloud Nine Microfine Glitter to the trees and the ground with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen. Falling snowflakes was made with White Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Wreath is from Winter Greetings Bird and Wreath Digi Set. Again I used one of the colored image. I added sparkle to it with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen and few glitters: Aqua Marine for sprigs and Lemonade for berries. Berries are also covered with Limoncello Jewel Drops. A little bow and dot of White Crystal Drops was added to decorate it.
To make the wall I took a piece of white cardstock and inked it with Distress Inks (Vintage Photo, and Tea Dye. After dry embossing it with brick embossing folder I added some Hickory Smoke Distress ink for shading. It needed something more so I added a 'frost' with Mother of Pearl Nuvo Embellishment Mousse.

I know that yellow and snow don't go together but I need a bit more yellow to bring out the yellow berries and bells. I adhered 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape to the edges of the card base and covered it with Lemonade Glitter.

Materials used:
Stamp CreditsElf Peeker DIGI858BG, Winter Greetings Bird and Wreath DIGI855FS, Tree Scene #723;

Holiday Wishes

I hope you enjoy all those Christmas cards shared on the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog this month. There are plenty more to come :)

On this card I used Winter Greetings Bird and Wreath Stamp set. Wreath and birds are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. After coloring them with Promarkers I cut them out with scissors. I added some sparkle to the branches with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen and Meadow Spark Glitter. Berries on the wreath are covered with Strawberry Coulis Nuvo Jewel Drops

Sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Cherry Embossing Powder. Some shading was added with Gray Promarker. Sentiment is also fussy cut.

Most fun and time consuming was the background. I stamped wreath all over the watercolor cardstock with Versamark ink and heat embossed them with White Detail Embossing Powder. Then I stamped word 'Noel' inside of each wreath in same way. For coloring I used Nuvo Aqua Flow pens from Spring Meadow set, Nuvo Glitter Markers from Northern Lights set and some Distress inks (Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans, Candied Apple). I wasn't able to catch it to the photo but the pine sprigs and berries are shimmering thanks to the Glitter Markers. I added a bit of Fuchsia marker to the berries before coloring them with Candied Apple Distress ink.

Edges of the matting layer are covered with 1/4" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape. After adhering watercolored layer in center of it I covered rest of the tape with Dazzling Rose Glitter.

Hi! Isn't it fun - Christmas in July ;) Today I want to share a card made with Sparkle N Sprinkle Crystal Snowflakes Stamp Set #868. This set comes with lovely sentiment and two big snowflakes.
For a start, I colored piece of white cardstock with Royal Aubergine Nuvo Embellishment Mousse  using Nuvo Dual Tipped Blender Brush. After Mousse was dry, I stamped two bolder snowflakes with Versamark ink on top of it and heat embossed them with Gilded Ivory Embossing Powder. I don't know why, but somehow one of the snowflake picked up background color and turned half of it slightly pink. Maybe I added too much heat... I'm not sure. But I am ok with it :)
Rest of the background was stamped with thinner snowflake. Again, I used Versamark ink. Heat embossing was done with Gold Detail Embossing Powder.

Sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and it is heat embossing with Gold Detail Embossing Powder. It is cut to an oval shape with scissors. Thanks to the frame around the words, it's easy to do.

Snowflake behind the sentiment layer is same thin snowflake from the set. I stamped it with Versamark ink to the white cardstock and heat embossed it with Gold Detail Embossing Powder. I colored it with Royal Aubergine Mousse and waterbrush. Then I added White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops to the colored parts and let it dry. It is fussy cut with scissors.

In both sides of the purple background I adhered strips of cardstock which was covered with 1/2" Double Sided Tear-ific Tape and Black Ice Glitter. To the left side of the card base I adhered strip of same Double Sided Tape and covered it with Radiant Gold Nuvo Gilding Flakes. For embellishments I used few dots of Nuvo Crystal Drops (Ebony Black), Double Pearl strip and some white string.

But now I'll tell you a bit about my card. I used Spirit of Christmas Poinsettias stamp set #862. Flower stamps are my favorite. I was very excited to see that this month SNS revealed this lovely Poinsettias set with beautiful sentiments. I decided to make a Double Z-fold card with it.
I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink to a white cardstock and heat embossed it with Silver Detail Embossing Powder. After die cutting the sentiment I inked the label edges with Weathered Wood Distress Ink. It needed a little more sparkle so I took a Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen and draw a frame which I covered with Diamond Dust Glitter. Few dots of Nuvo Crystal Drops (Silver Lining) was also added around the sentiment.
To make the decorative layer behind the sentiment I used Brown Cardstock and Spellbinders Frame One die. This shape was cut in two and adhered behind the sentiment layer.

Second sentiment was stamped directly to the pattern paper. Again, I used Versamark ink for stamping and heat embossed it with Silver Detail Embossing Powder. It didn't show out from the paper as much as I'd like to so I took white Gel Pen and draw lines around the words.

All the flowers was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink to a white cardstock. I used Promarkers to color them. I fussy cut them and left narrow white border all around. I added Diamond Dust  Glitter with Small tip Nuvo Glue Pen to the flower petals. Centers are covered with Nuvo Glitter Drops (Honey Gold).

One of the pattern paper had very nice splatters on it. I thought to add some dimensional splatters too with Super Thick Silver and Super Thick White Embossing Powders. I love the effect of those EP-s. They are very easy to use too - just sprinkle some to the card and heat emboss from underneath.

For the card base I used brown cardstock. Top edge is die cut with Spellbinders A2 Scalloped Borders One die. Edges of the lighter pattern paper is inked with Weathered Wood Distress Ink. For darker pattern paper I used Ground Espresso Distress ink.

I had lots of fun of making this card. The next stop on our blog hop is Donna. She has something amazing to share with you.
